Each person has their own homeland. For some people it is a big city, for others is a small village, but people love its equally. Birthplace mustn`t be large. It can be any area of your town, village. I have my own favourite spot. This is the village Oskolets, it is the country that is famous for its white chalk cliffs and picturesque landscape. My homeland is Oskolets, a small village of the Gubkin area, is located 8 km from the Gubkin, the center of the Gubkin district. Стелла Оскольца Around my beloved village are so many chalk mountains, covered with shrubs, and wildflowers. When you go to them, you see all of the incredible beauty of the area. The village lies in the valley of the Oskolets (the tributary of the Oskol) .One of the most beautiful Region is the Oskoletsky pond. You can come here for a few days with my tent to relax and fishing. The silky surface of a pond and shiny in the sun dome of St. Michael Church emphasize the beauty of the village Oskolets Stone Church in the name of Archangel Michael was built in Stavropol bourgeois Efim Semendyaev in 1832. In the middle of the village is the school, kindergarten, a library, a shop and the house of culture. Here are all the important events for the residents of the village: concerts, exhibitions, and trade shows. The beloved Encemble is "Oskolchanka." Since 2009, "the Oskoletskiy household" takes place on the day of the Gubkin in the exhibition-fair of rural households “Gubkinskiy Karagod". Although Gubkin is a very young city, it has its attractions, dear to the heart of every inhabitant.
