"DISCUSSION CLUB"
(Учебный курс дополнительного образования
по английскому языку для учащихся 10—11 классов)

Пояснительная записка.
Данная программа рассчитана на учащихся 10—11 классов (16—17 лет) и направлена на углубление знаний иностранного языка, а также коррекцию и совершенствование фонетических, грамматических и лексических навыков и формирование умений в речи на иностранном языке. Необходимость такой программы обусловлена несколькими причинами:
в настоящее время возникает большое количество школьных проектов, призванных вовлечь учащихся в обсуждение актуальных в настоящий момент тем;
рамки школьной программы не позволяют ввести знания и активизировать навыки, т. е. сформировать требуемые умения, необходимые для участия в подобных проектах, в полном объёме
у учащихся существует языковой барьер в ситуациях общения на английском языке в рамках подобных проектов.
Таким образом, главной целью данной программы является преодоление такового. Цели достигаются посредством решения следующих задач:
расширение у учащихся лексических, грамматических и страноведческих знаний;
коррекция и совершенствование у учащихся фонетических, грамматических и лексических навыков;
развитие коммуникативных умений.
Новизна данного курса заключается в следующем: учащиеся читают современные тексты разной функциональной принадлежности, слушают радио передачи и смотрят телевизионные программы разных жанров, извлекают из них новые лексические единицы и грамматические структуры, используют их в языковых упражнениях, далее отрабатывают в условно-речевых и простых коммуникативных упражнениях и впоследствии используют их в устной речи и письменной речи (презентациях, дискуссиях, дебатах, статьях, докладах и т. д.).
Основными средствами обучения являются книги, газеты, журналы, а также аудио-визуальные и технические средства.
Данная программа рассчитана на два года по 144 учебных часа (36 недели по 4 учебных часа). В процессе обучения предусмотрен постоянный контроль учебной деятельности учащихся посредством контрольных упражнений (работ) и начисления очков.
Разделы программы:
Данный курс включает в себя два базовых раздела:
1.Введение новых знаний:
новые лексические единицы;
наблюдение за грамматическими структурами современного английского языка в разных стилях;
страноведческий комментарий.
2.Совершенствование навыков владения английским языком в разных видах речи:
чтение
письмо
аудирование;
говорение;
Весь курс разделен на модули, включающие в себя элементы всех разделов. Каждое занятие посвящёно ознакомлению учащихся с новым языковым и страноведческим материалом и его отработке.
Описание разделов программы:
Введение новых знаний:
лексика.
Выбор лексики, необходимой для усвоения, обусловлен общей темой тренируемого материала. Новые лексические единицы извлекаются учащимися в процессе чтения разных в стилистическом отношении текстов, прослушивания радио передач и просмотре разных телевизионных программ на предложенную тему. Кроме отдельных слов учащиеся должны усвоить устойчивые словосочетания и идиоматические выражения. Постоянно идёт наблюдение и обобщение учащимися правил словообразования. Также особое внимание уделяется корректному употреблению синонимов и фразовых глаголов, соответствующих разговорной теме. Далее языковой материал отрабатывается в упражнениях.
Грамматические структуры.
Грамматические структуры также извлекаются учащимися в процессе чтения и просмотра. Учащиеся рассматривают примеры использования той или иной структуры. Определяют актуальность для определённого стиля. Такой подход позволяет добиться понимания грамматики на глубоком уровне и помогает учащимся увидеть логику и закономерности функционирования грамматических структур в английском языке. Далее материал отрабатывается в упражнениях.
Страноведческий комментарий.
Данный раздел посвящён введению лингвострановедческих и страноведческих знаний, т. е. формированию страноведческой компетенции учащихся. Объектом изучения являются безэквивалентная лексика, фоновые знания, речевой этикет в рамках предложенной темы.
Совершенствование навыков владения английским языком:
Чтение
Материалом для чтения служат оригинальные тексты разных функциональных стилей. Задействуются разные
виды чтения: со словарём и без, классное и домашнее, просмотровое, поисковое, ознакомительное, реферативное и изучающее.
Письмо
Учащимся предлагаются темы для написания тезисов докладов, самих докладов и коротких выступлений, статей и т. д.
Аудирование
Материалом для аудирования служат записи телевизионных и радио передач различных жанров. Занятия направлены на развитие у учащихся навыков восприятия устной монологической, диалогической и полилогической речи:
Говорение
Учащимся предлагаются актуальные в современном обществе темы для подготовки коротких презентаций, проведения дискуссий и дебатов. Задания по говорению направлены на развитие как монологической, так и диалогической речи. В процессе разговорной практики формируются умения:
общения с одним или несколькими собеседниками с целью:
обмена мнениями и информацией;
выражения мнения и его аргументацией;
выражения согласия и/или несогласия;
предложения о совместном действии;
рассуждения;
выражения догадок;
логично и последовательно высказываться в соответствии с ситуацией общения, а также в связи с увиденным, услышанным или прочитанным;
публично выступать с подготовленным устным сообщением.

Цели:
активизация работы учащихся в Discussion Club;
ознакомление учащихся с результатами их деятельности.
Шкала:
+1 посещение с хорошим поведением.
+1 активность в классе.
+3 выполнение домашнего задания:
+1 письменное задание,
+1 монологическое выступление,
+1 участие в дискуссии.
Общий итог недели: +5
Гласность:
итоги подводятся каждую неделю.
Рейтинг учитывается в случае спорной оценки при промежуточной аттестации учащихся по английскому языку.
Ожидаемые результаты:
Чтение:
Учащиеся должны быть способны к общему, детальному и критическому пониманию письменных текстов
Письмо:
Учащиеся должны уметь самостоятельно подготовить письменный текст информационного и/или воздействующего характера в рамках предложенной тематики/проблематики
Аудирование:
Учащиеся должны на слух понимать английскую речь в теле- и радиопередачах, однократно предъявляемую учителем в естественном темпе, допускающую включение до 3-4 % незнакомых слов.
Говорение:
Учащиеся должны уметь без предварительной подготовки вести беседу с одним или несколькими собеседниками в связи с представленной ситуацией или в связи с услышанным, увиденным, прочитанным, перемежая диалогическую речь развернутыми высказываниями, выражая свое отношение к излагаемым фактам и суждениям и давая им свою оценку, в пределах программного материала. Объём связного высказывания—10-12 фраз.
делать самостоятельно подготовленные устные сообщения, доклады по теме или проблеме, используя при этом необходимые источники как на родном, так и на английском языках до 3-5 минут.
