Презентация по английскому языку на тему My career

My career Problem: My choice of a career. Task: What should I do to be a good specialist? Let me introduce myself. My name is Ivan. I am fifteen years old and I`m at 9th grade. In three years I`ll finish school. And finishing school is the beginning of the independent life for millions of school leavers. Many roads are opened before us: vocational & technical schools, institutes & universities. But it is not an easy thing to choose a profession. My vision of the ideal career is: what sort of life do I want to lead? For example, do I want to live in the country or in the town? Is leisure time of great importance to me? Is the size of my salary important? Second: what sort of work do I want to do? For example, do I want to work alone or with others? These are the most important questions for me. Having thought carefully about the sort of person I am, I should try to work out a realistic set professional occupational requirement. And in particular, I should answer to these questions. Many people continue careers of their parents but it is not the case with me. My mother is a teacher and my father is a worker. But I don`t want to be neither a teacher nor a worker. As for me, I have made up my mind to be an engineer. As my grandparents are engineers they have made a great influence on my choice and I can say that this profession runs the family. My choice of this occupation didn`t come as a sudden flash. I think that nowdays this profession is of great need and importance to our country. It is my aim to be a qualified specialist and to serve the interests of my country. To be a well prepared engineer I should have some important qualities: great capability persistence, knowledge of science and, of course, knowledge of foreign languages. I think that the person who doesn`t know a foreign language, doesn`t know his own language. In spite of these arguments we mustn’t forget about everybody`s vacation. I think that my facilities combined with the knowledge would be quiet enough to succeed in my work. I hope in future I can become as good engineer as my grandparents are. I am sure my dream will come true sooner or later if I work hard. The end. Thank you! This presentation is made by Ivan Melnik Teacher:T.I. Migunova.
