Today we are going to review the tenses of the verb, which we learnt last year. What are they? Yes, that’s right. It is Present Indefinite, Present Continuous, Present Perfect, Past Indefinite, Past Continuous and Future Indefinite. First, let’s review the grammar rules.
And now I’m giving you a table with all tenses and we’ll do some exercises using this table (appendix).
Exercise 1. Look at the sentence and say what tense is used there.

«About animals» мәтіні
Our planet is home to a vast collection of animals. They live everywhere.
Animals are all around us, so it is easy to think that we know exactly what animals are.
But some animals have fur or feathers; others have shells or scales, while many have no hard body parts at all. Animals often have eyes, ears and legs.
Firstly, animals’ bodies are made of lots of cells. These cells work together, like a team. Secondly, unlike plants, animals need to eat.
Such animals as the tiger, black rhino and giant panda are now so rare that they are endangered.
Animals are in danger for many reasons, and most of these are to do with humans. People collect animals as pets, and hunt them for food and for ‘fun’. They destroy their habitats. The saquaro is the giant of the cactus family. Its height is often 50 feet (16m).
It grows very slowly. It grows about one inch per year. The first branch of the cactus does not appear until the plant has drown to a height of 16 feet (5metres). The first flowers appear when the plant is 50-75 years old.
The largest saquaros are about 200 years old and weigh more than 908 kg.

Food in Britain
Hi! In this programme we look at British food.
Most people know about roast beef, bacon, and eggs, fish and chips.But what do theBritish really eat?
It’s early morningin Britain. Milkmen bring milk to people’s houses.Usually before breakfast.
This is the Robinson family at breakfast. And this is the usual breakfast milk and cereal, toast with jam or marmalade, fruit juice, tea or coffee.
Mr. Robinson prefers this the traditional English breakfast-bacon, egg, sausage tomato and fried bread. But people don’t eat it very often now.
Mmm! Wonderful! Only for hoursto lunch. Lunch is at about twelve or one o’clock. At lunch time people usually have a break of an hour. So they often just have a sandwich or a snack. In some shops they sell an amazing number of different sandwiches. Most people buy their food from supermarkets. Fresh food and convenience food. You don’t prepare convenience food. You just put it in the oven or the microwave-even the traditional roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. The Robinsons usually prepare their own food. Most people have their main meal in the evening.
And dinner- the evening meal-is about six or seven o’clock. People have meat or fish and vegetables. Pizza and pasta are popular too. But people don’t just eat at home. They also go out. And they don’t always eat British food. Britain has a lot of foreign restaurants and British people like food from all over the world. London has restaurants from over fourty-two different countries. Chinese and Indian restaurants are very popular. And so are Thai and Italian. But what do British teenagers really like or not like?
-I really like ice-cream.
-I like chips and cheeseburgers.
