Types of Questions
Yes/no questions
Information questions
Subject questions.
Yes/no questions
The answer is Yes or No. any details are relevant only in the expanded answer which is not always necessary.
The major scheme is:

How it works with different grammar verbs.

There should be sentences based on the vocabulary you’re studying to illustrate every scheme.
Then I give examples and exercises which include transformation of affirmative questions into yes/no questions and practice replies (matching exercise first).
This can be done on the board, with the help of flash cards, post-it notes, the key idea is for students to build up sentences on their own.
Another variant – split the sentences into those beginning with TO BE/DO,DOES,DID/HAVE,HAS,HAD.
AM/IS/ARE DO/DOES HAVE/HAS
______ she got a car?
______ they at home?
______ you know this man?
______ she have a family?
This list is to be continued and can be done individually or in pairs or groups.
The most important thing is to highlight the fact that DO/DOES/DID appear only in questions and negations as we need them to form those types of sentences. As for TO BE and HAVE/HAS/HAD, they are elements of every sentence type as well as modals (can/will/would, etc.)
