Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
Цели:
Обучающие:
Совершенствование навыков аудирования.
Обучение лексике по темам: «Merry Christmas and Happy New Year»
Обучение работе в группах.
Развивающие:
Развитие интереса к изучению иностранного языка.
Развитие лингвистической догадки.
Развитие творческого мышления.
Воспитательные:
Воспитание и уважение к одноклассникам.
Подготовительная работа: Подготовка к празднику начинается примерно за неделю- две до самого праздника. Детям раздаются слова песен, стихотворения, которые должны быть выучен . при этом следует обязательно отработать правильное произношение и интонацию. Перед праздничным уроком надо проверить как выучены стихотворения. К самому мероприятию нужно подготовить весь наглядный и раздаточный материал ко всем заданиям. класс украшается новогодними плакатами , картинками, атак же двумя новогодними елками, которые необходимы для задания «Decorating the New Year Tree» , но елки не должны быть наряженными.
Занятие проводится в виде игр , состоящей из 4 конкурсов . занятие рассчитано на 40-45 минут.
Ход мероприятия
Teacher: Good afternoon, my dear girls , boys and guests of our competition. Today we will speak about two great winter holidays – New Year’s Day and Christmas. Bus what do you know about these holidays? ( учащиеся отвечают на вопросы учителя).
Например:
When is Christmas celebrated in the United Kingdom of Great Britain?
When is Christmas celebrated in Russia?
When is New Year’s Day celebrated in the United Kingdom and in Russia?
Where is New Year’s Day more popular in Great Britain or in Russia ?Do you like New Year’s Day / Christmas ?
Do you like to get New Year presents ?
What do you usually get for presents? And etc.
Let’s organize a competition devoted to these holidays. For the competition you should make two teams. (Дети делятся на команды по рядам, как сидят в классе.)
But before to start , please name your teams. The names should be connected witch the theme of our competition . (учащиеся придумывают названия своим командам)
- А судьями мы выберем наших гостей .- Сначала я хочу загадать вам несколько загадок, связанных с темой нашего праздничного занятия. Listen to the riddles very attentively . 1. It’s time when it is snowing, when all children do skating, skiing, make snowmen and play snowballs. (Winter)
We celebrate it on the first of January. (New Year).
He always comes in the night of New Year and brings presents to obedient boys and girls. (Santa Claus)
We decorate it when it is New Year with garlands, colourful balls and other toys (New Year Tree)
Конкурс 1- «Associations»
Teacher: Well done. And now let’s play the game “Associations”. You should remember as many as possible words connecting witch the holidays of New Year and Christmas as you can. The team who can remember more words wins. Is it clear?
На доске крупными буквами написано слово New Year/Christmas . Каждая команда по очереди называет слова, ассоциируемые с праздником New Year/Christmas и записывает их на доске. В конце конкурса жюри объявляет результаты, их записывают в отдельную таблицу, которая висит на доске.
Например:
Winter, holiday , snow, Father Frost, cards, presents.
Конкурс 2- «Decorating the New Year Tree»
Teacher: So, we always have a lot of associations when we speak about New Year and Christmas . And of course we can’t imagine New Year without New Year Tree at home?(ученики отвечают на вопросы и наряжают елку).
Well , let’s also decorate the New Year Tree in our classroom. We have two New Year Trees. The rules of the game are the following: each member of your teams comes up to me one by one, takes a toy from this box, names it in English and puts on the tree. If you don’t know the name of the toy you may ask for help your team. If nobody knows it you just put it back into the box and sit down. Is the task clear for you?
В классе стоят 2 небольшие елки и коробка с предметами, которыми нужно украсить новогоднюю елку. Представители от каждой команды подходят к коробке, называют предмет по -английски и вешают на елку. Если учащийся не может назвать предмет, он просит помощи у своей команды. Если и команда не знает этого слова, то предмет кладется под елку. Жюри учитывает все правильные и не правильные ответы и в конце конкурса объявляет, какая команда победила.
Конкурс 3- «Congratulations»
Teacher: Well, on holidays we usually congratulate our parents, relatives and friends . But how do we do it? What do we say? Do you know some congratulations in English? (учащиеся называют поздравления, которые они знают, возможно, даже не связанные с Новым Годом.). Well done. And now let’s look at our New Year Trees once more. There are some cards on them. Do you see? (На елку развешены открытки, на которых написаны поздравления. Каждая открытка имеет свой номер. На другой елке висят такие же открытки с такими же номерами, но в которых написаны русские эквиваленты поздравлений ). Let’s take these card and read them to our guests. But you know our guests have come from the other country. They don’t know English. That’s why they need an interpreter. Each team should choose their interpreter.
Участники из каждой команды по очереди снимают с елки открытки , читают их гостям, а переводчик говорит их по-русски. Если перевод вызывает затруднение, учитель предлагает переводчику найти русский эквивалент на другой елке.

Happy New Year!- с Новым Годом.
Merry Christmas!- Счастливого Рождества!
Best wishes for a pleasant and successful New Year!- наилучшие пожелания, доброго и успешного Нового Года!
New Year- new beginning! Новый Год – новое начало!

Lost of hugs and kisses for the New Year!- множество объятий и поцелуев в новом году!
Teacher: Your congratulations are really great! I think our guests like them very mush. But we may also congratulate our guests like them very mush. But we may also congratulate our relatives and friends reciting them poems, aren’t we? Do you know some poems about New Year and Christmas ? учащиеся выходят и рассказывают стихотворения. Они должны быть заранее выучены , чтобы чтение стихотворений не вызывали никаких затруднений.

Конкурс 4 – «New Year Card»
Teacher: Yes, we all like New Year and Christmas. We like to get congratulations, presents and greeting cards. Have you ever sent New Year Cards? Let’s congratulate each other with the help of a New Year Card. Each team will make a card for the other team . you may use all poems and congratulations we mentioned today.
Каждой команде выдается лист бумаги , карандаши, маркеры, клей и всевозможные новогодние картинки . пока дети делают свои открытки, звучит новогодняя музыка. После изготовления дети показывают друг другу открытки и читают поздравления. Жюри оценивает работы и объявляет результаты в целом . если какая либо команда набрала больше очков , то целесообразно придумать 2 номинации. Это устранит возможный конфликт между командами., и все участники будут довольны результатами.
Заключение
Teacher: Well, our lesson is over. Today we have spoken a lot about New Year’s Day and Christmas, congratulated each other, recited poems, decorated our New Year Trees and made New Year Card. And now I offer you to sing the famous Christmas song “Jingle Bells”. I think everybody knows it.
