Batball is an ancient Russian folk sport that is still known in Russia today.There are different forms of batball and most villages have got their own name for the game. However, the basic idea is the same and it is very like baseball and cricket. You can play batball in any flat surface such as a grass lawn or a school play ground. The equipment for the game is very simple.The players have a bat and a ball. The rules of the gameThere is a town on the one side of the field and a village on the other side.
The players are divided into two teams. One comes to the town and another- leaders. The town player starts the game.He should throw a ball as far as he can. Then he runs across the field and the leaders catch a ball and try to hit the town player. The player should run to the town or stay in the village.All members should throw a ball and run to the town. The winner is the team whose members all throw a ball and return to the town. Batball is a great game and lots of fun
