William Shakespeare William Shakespeare was the best and most famous playwright of all time. William Shakespeare was born on 23rd April 1564 in the small town of Stratford. He got married to Ann Hathaway when he was 18 and had three children. In 1587 Shakespeare moved to London where he started writing. There he wrote such plays as: “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”“Romeo and Juliet” With these and other plays, Shakespeare became England’s leading playwright. Shakespeare was a very successful playwright. He wrote such tragedies as:“Macbeth”“King Lear” “Othello”Today they are considered to be classics.
