What Will You Tell the World About Ukraine?
Ukraine… What a proud word! When I hear this name I feel something native, warm and precious. This is my Motherland! These are broad steppes, quiet villages and homey smelling bread. But first of all, these are Ukrainian traditions and culture. They are the brightest example of Ukrainian spirit of a given nation and reflect people’s outlook, beliefs and the most sacred hopes. Our culture and traditions unite families, bring harmony and understanding, amuse and entertain or make us think of some important events in the history and current life. In other words, Ukraine is a Ukrainian song, Ukrainian soul and Ukrainian nation! I was born and bred here. This is my flesh and blood.
In different times our country had its own ups and downs. Military leaders of the past years were an example of courage and discipline and led people in the fight for their noble or less noble ideas. But nowadays the situation is changing. Ukraine has hard times, because a political situation is very difficult. Unfortunately, politicians haven’t responsibility to lead the society and they don’t manage all the challenges it faces. I feel ill, because Ukrainians must fight for their independence and defend the borders of their own state. Our nation is brave and strong, we have unbreakable spirit and strength. We always help each other in any situation. Virgil said that the fortune favored the brave. And I think so! In my opinion, we should do everything that we can to protect our country, our Ukraine and develop it in future. Our people are unique and I consider that we should preserve our values. I believe the future of Ukraine will be happy and we’ll overcome all difficulties and grief. And it’s going to be all right. I’m sure of it!
Finally, I’m very proud that I’m Ukrainian! I love my native country very much! Therefore, our future is in our hands. This is why it is so important to respect each other and rely on each other, to keep our traditions and values alive. As for me the Motherland is the most precious treasure in every peoples’ life.
