P 1: ex:1. “Education in Great Britain”
In Great Britain children start going to school when they are five and continue studying until they are 16 or older. Compulsary education begins at the age of five when children go to primary school. Primary education lasts for six years. First they attend the infant school from five to seven.
In infant schools children don’t have real classes. They get acquainted with the class-room, desks, play and learn through playing. They learn numbers and how to add them. When the children are seven they go to junior school which they attend until eleven, Boys and Girls study at junior school for four years. There they have classes, read and write, do mathematics.
Then they go to secondary school.
At secondary school pupils study English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, History, Art, Music, Foreign languages and Physical training (PT). There are some types of secondary school in Great Britain. They are grammar schools, modern school and comprehensive schools. One car attend modern school but pupils of a modern school don’t learn foreign languages. If they go to grammar school they will have a good secondary education. This type of school is most popular in England. At secondary school pupils study English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, History, Art, Music, Foreign languages and Physical education. English, Maths and Science are called “CORE” subjects, pupils take examinations in the core subjects at the age of 7, 11 and 14.

T: OK, very well, now work our map: England
               All – pupils work together
T: OK, very good. Now let’s read our text about Education for the 21 st Century.
P1: The 20 th century is over. The 21 st Century has just started. We are living in a new Century. Now it is time to think about the future of Education. Today it is clear for everyone that we are moving to words the changes in many sectors of life and Education. It is a well known fact that the development of the nation, its prosperity and wealth depend on the people’s Education.
P2: Most people understand that Education needs changes. What kinds of changes are needed? Who is responsible for realizing these changes? The question is not easy to answer. We know that the government of the country has a programme of reforming the system of Education in our Republic and it is responsible for the implemention of the reform programme. The top priority in the government actions is certainly basic Education. Which is compulsory for all children. The main purpose of compulsory Education is to involve all children into schools, but this is not the only task of the Educational reform.
P3: The changes of content , curricula and methods of teaching and learning are also planned. The reform presupposes to can puterize the process of teaching and learning. Some steps have already been taken, in this direction: about 3000 class-rooms in the country have already been computerized . Computerized teaching and learning can help to create the system of life-long Education for everybody.
P4: Computers, as is generally known, can send and receive information electronically, electronics becomes a very important tool of instruction. In the nearest future electronics will be used in distance Education.
Conclusion: 1) Pupils, listen, top – text.
                         2) Home work: ex 3,4.
