Тема урока: " В мире нет ничего невозможного "
Вид урока: урок формирования навыков чтения
Цели: совершенствовать навыки просмотрового и детального чтения
Учебные: активизировать навыки просмотрового чтения, детального чтения; активизировать навыки монологической и диалогической речи; навыки понимания (общей и детальной) информации на слух.
Развивающие: развивать навыки чтения и речевые способности, психологические функции, связанные с речевой деятельностью (память, мышление, умение логически мыслить, умение анализировать); развивать речевой слух.
Воспитательные: развивать умение слушать другого человека, принимать чужие точки зрения.
Личностно-ориентированные: расширение кругозора учащихся; развитие языковой догадки; развитие интереса к языку; социокультурное развитие; развитие умения сопоставлять факты, создавать условия для развития общения, обсуждения, высказывания собственного мнения.

Ход урока

Учитель: Good morning, students! I'm glad to see you. Take your seats.
So, I see all of you are here and in a very good mood. What did you do yesterday? Did you do your homework? Did you go to the cinema? Did you watch TV? Do you like watching films?
Ученик1: Yes, I did. I did my homework.
Ученик2: So did I.
Ученик3: No, I didn’t. I was at home.
Ученик4: Yes, I went to the cinema yesterday.
Ученик5: I watched my favourite film at home yesterday.
Ученики: Yes, we like watching films.
Учитель: Great! I’ve prepared a short video for you. After watching it, try to tell me the topic of our lesson.

Учитель: Well, I see your opinions. We have an article about him in your students’ books. Open them, please, on page 36. We are going to read it and check if we are right or not. However, let’s read some difficult words. (приложение 2)

После прочтения текста учащиеся сравнивают их предполагаемые ранее ответы с информацией из текста.
Учитель: Good job! You’ve got the general idea of the text. But to speak about this person you should identify the main idea of each part. Read the task, please.
Учащиеся читают задание, после чего начинают работать в парах. Ответы на слайде появляются только в ходе проверки задания, после его выполнения всеми учащимися.
В задании даны 9 заголовков и 8 абзацев текста. Задача учащихся – сопоставить заголовки по смыслу. Один лишний. Задание направлено на подготовку к сдаче государственного экзамена.

Ученик читает задание на слайде. Учащиеся работают в группах. Пытаются охарактеризовать жену актера, ответить на вопросы, используя текст.

Ученик2: I agree with this statement. If a person is strong enough, if he does his best to be successful, he will achieve his goal.
Учитель: You are absolutely right. Will power gives us courage and energy to win. You must work hard and struggle. Learn to face problems. We spoke about Ch. Reeve who is the example of will power. But there are many other people who can inspire you to be strong and become successful. Your home task is to prepare the reports about these people who have proved that nothing is impossible. Каждый ученик получает карточку с известной личностью или известной фирмой, организацией, про основателей которых мало кто знает. Эти карточки подбирались согласно интересам учащихся. Домашнее задание заключается в поиске информации по заданным 4 пунктам: семья и окружение в детстве, карьерный рост, трудности, чем знаменит.
