The Convention’s aim is to identify natural and cultural places in the world with outstanding values, to ensure the protection for the benefit of all humanity through a closer cooperation among nations. The UNESCO World Heritage List includes 188 natural, 745 cultural and 28 mixed natural and cultural properties in 157 countries of the world. “Open Initiative on the Use of Space Technologies to Supportthe World Heritage Convention”The goal is to develop a framework of cooperation, open to space agencies, institutions, non-governmental organizations and private sector.
