(Aesop’s Fable)
Once the Hare began boasting of his speed before the other animals. "Anybody has never won me in the race," said he, "I’m the fastest animal. I know that anybody can’t run faster than I. I challenge everybody!"
The Turtle said quietly, "I accept your challenge."
"That is a good joke," said the Hare. "I will dance all the way, when you walk to the finish."
"Don’t boast until you've won," answered the Turtle. "Shall we race?"
Everybody heard them. The race started. The hare ran away as fast as he can, but soon he stopped and laid down to have a break and a nap. He wanted to show his contempt for the Turtle. The Turtle didn’t stop and ran and ran. She ran slowly but without any breaks. When the Hare awoke, he saw the Turtle nearing the finish line, and he could not catch up in time to save the race.
Plodding wins the race: who is not lazy and work hard that can always win.
