Agniya Barto - the great Russian children's poet. Barto Agniya Lvovna (the real name is Volova) (1906-1981) She was a Russian poet. She was born in 1906 in Moscow. She received a good home education which was led by the father. She studied at the school where she liked reading books of A. Akhmatova and Vladimir Mayakovsky. .s Barto was one of the most famous and beloved children's poets. Her works were published in millions copies and her poems were included in many books. The rhythm, the rhymes, the images and the stories of her verses were comprehensible for children. Agniya Barto wrote scripts for films “The foundling" (1940), "Alyosha Ptitsyn produces character" (1953), "10 000 boys" (1962). For many years Barto was the head of the Association of workers of literature and art for children. She was a member of the international jury Anderson. In 1976 she was awarded with the international premium. Barto′s poems have been translated into many languages of the world.
