Урок английского языка в 5 классе
Тема урока “Welcome to London”
Цели:
Образовательные: совершенствовать умения и навыки практического владения английским языком по теме урока по всем видам речевой деятельности: говорению, чтению и письму.
Развивающие: развивать творческие способности школьников, умения анализировать, обобщать, делать выводы.
Воспитательные:; прививать интерес к изучению английского языка, воспитать конкурентоспособную личность.
Сопутствующая задача – контроль умений учащихся самостоятельно оценивать себя в разных видах речевой деятельности.
Оборудование: компьютер, экран, проектор, доска; упражнения с заданиями, презентация “Лондон”
Ход урока
1.Организационный момент.
(Приветствие, сообщение о теме и характере работы на данном уроке)
Teacher: Good morning, boys and girls. I’m glad to see you! Good morning, dear guests! Welcome to our lesson.
Dear children, I hope that you are fine today.
Teacher: How are you?
Pupil: I’m Ok.
T: Who is on duty today? What is the day today?I’m ok, let’s begin our lesson!

T;- Boys and girls, look at the screen and say what will we speak about.- You are right, we are going to speak about London.
T; - Have you ever been to London? – No, I haven’t.
T;-Would you like to visit London?- Yes, I would.
T;- What places of interest do you know in London?- Big Ben, London Eye, The Tower…

Pupil1: I like to travel very much, because it is very interesting and funny. I would like to visit cities in Europe and in America. It is very useful for people, because they get new knowledge about different countries.
Pupil2: I like to travel, because it is interesting and exciting. And I believe that I’ll visit England. It’s my dream. And I think that our English lessons will help me on that.
Pupil3: I like travel because this is cool, you will be in many countries. You buy new national clothes, souvenirs, make new friends. It is interesting and beautiful!
Pupil4: I like to travel too. I can learn a language and visit new places there.
Teacher:-Do you remember different kinds of transport? What is it? This one? – It is a car, a bus, a train, a ship, a plane….
- How can you get from your hometown to London? (by bus, by plane, bicycle, train) -2 слайд
- When we want to go to Great Britain we must get there by plane, because this country is very far from Russia.

1.It is very old. It has a long and cruel history. You can see it from the river Thames It is not just one building. Many years ago the Kings and the Queens of Britain lived in this place.( The Tower of London).
2. It stands near the Houses of Parliament. It is really a bell. It weighs 13, 720 kilograms. It has a deep tone and you can hear it on the radio. It is a famous clock ( Big Ben).
3.It is not far from the Houses of Parliament. It is a symbol or England. It was founded by ST. Peter and built by King Edward in 1065. Some famous people are buried there. (Westminster Abbey.)4 It is the London home of the Queen. If you see the Queen’s flag above the building, you will know she is staying at the palace. The ceremony of the Changing of the Guard at this Palace is a great tourist attraction. (Buckingham Palace)
5 It’s one of the famous bridges across the Thames. It was built in 1894. It’s next to the Tower of London. It opens and ships go up and down the river Thames. (Tower Bridge)
