Theme: My city
Aims:
Educational: to enrich pupils’ knowledge about our city Almaty, to enlarge pupils’ vocabulary, to teach pupils to count till 1000.
Developing: to develop pupils’ reading and listening skills.
Bringing- up: to motivate pupils' in learning foreign language.
Methods: work in groups, QSA sessions. The type of the lesson: mixed. Equipments and visual aids: pictures, tape recorder+CD, toys, interactive blackboard.Intersubject communication: Kazakh language.

Good morning, dear boys and girls! How are you? Who is on duty today? What day is it today? What date is it today? What season is it now? What is the weather like today?
How did you spend your winter holidays? What did you do? Are you ready for the lesson?

- Sure. I live at number 113, Abylay Khan avenue. There is a monument nearby.
- What does "akyn" mean.?
- An akyn is a poet who can sing and play the dombra.
Find the sentences with numbers and read them.
Now, can you answer, how many fountains are there in Almaty? How many streets are there in Almaty? How many museums are there in Almaty?
