Lesson №39
Цель урока: Развитие коммуникативной способности учеников на английском
языке по теме «Животные».

Задачи урока:
Образовательная: 1. Расширить знания обучающихся о животных. Практическая: 1. Тренировать употребление тематических слов во всех видах
речевой деятельности.
2. Активизировать изученные грамматические правила:
употребление степеней сравнения имен прилагательных
в устной речи, употребление модального глагола Must,
порядок слов в предложении.
3. Развитие навыков чтения, аудирования и письма.
Развивающая: 1. Развивать внимание, память, мышление, воображение,
творческие способности.
2. Развивать учебно - организационные, интеллектуальные,
информационные и коммуникативные умения школьников.

Воспитательная: 1. Воспитывать любовь к животным, природе.
2. Воспитывать взаимоуважение, умение работать в команде.
3. Создание комфортной среды для каждого ученика и
положительной мотивации к изучению английского языка.
Оборудование: мультимедийный проектор, экран, раздаточный материал, магнитофон, компьютер, телевизор и DVD, учебник «Spotlight 4».

Этапы урока
Организационный момент.
Teacher: Good morning, friends! I am glad to see you. Today we are going to review the topic «At the Zoo! Animals». Today we have an unusual lesson, because there are some guests here today.
Children, we have a special lesson. It’s a competition lesson, «The Star Hour» on the topic «Animals». Everybody will have a possibility to be a winner. At the end of the lesson the winner will be given a prize. Be very attentive and try to do everything correctly. Today we’ll speak about animals, so your hometask was to repeat everything we have learned on this topic. You will answer my questions and solve riddles. This competition will show your knowledge on the topic. I hope the lesson will be interesting for you and you will enjoy it.
Children, you must be active and friendly. So, I wish you good luck. And now let’s start our competition. Listen to the plan of our competition. We’ll divide into 2 teams: «Cats» and «Foхes». The best team will be the winner of our game.

The first game: Look at the Star Board for a minute and then name the animals as more as you can!

каждой команды зачитывают список животных. Засчитывается количество наз-ванных животных.
The second game: Let’s compare the animals! Look at the eхample!
The elephant is bigger than the tiger. The monkey’s tail is longer than the hare’s.

The third game: «Riddles». Your task is to solve riddles.

This animal isn’t big. It lives in the river or near the water. It can jump and swim.
It is green. (A frog).Gena is not a boy. It is big, long and green. It is very clever. It can swim. It has a friend Cheburashka. (A crocodile).
This animal can be black, grey, white and red. It lives in the house. It can catch a grey mouse. It likes fish, meat and milk. (A cat).
It can jump, run, walk. It is grey. It lives in the house. It is very small. It likes bread and cheese. (A mouse).
The 4-th game: Look at the Star Board. Make up the sentences from these words to learn about animals.
Lives, the, tortoise, life, longest. (The tortoise lives the longest life).
Is, monkey, the, cleverest, the, animal, wild. (The monkey is the cleverest wild animal).
Elephant, the, is, the, of, all, animals, largest, land. (The elephant is the largest of all land animals).
Runs, a faster, than, kangaroo, a, horse. (A kangaroo runs faster than a horse).
Is, the, giraffe, the, animals, of, all. (The giraffe is the tallest of all the animals).

Команды составляют предложения из представленных слов.
The 5-th game: Listen the information about the animal and draw it.
It lives in Australia. It has got a long tail and string legs. It is brown and yellow. It can jump well. It likes to eat grass and leaves. It’s a very funny animal. You can see it in the Zoo. (Of course, it’s giraffe).
And now I propose you to have a rest. Let’s relaх and sing a song about animals.

The 6-th game: Children, what must we do and what must not we do?
Look after pet
Feed birds in winter
Give sweets to pets
Feed animals at the Zoo
Hunt animals
We must not hurt animals.
Дети получают раздаточный материал и составляют предложения по образцу.
The 7-th game: Describe one of the animals. You must tell about the animal, where it lives, what it looks like, what it likes to eat, what it can do. Don’t name it. Another team will guess.
The 8-th game: Write what animals can you see here. Change please with your lists and check your works.
