Places of rest in RostovМарухненко М.Н. МБОУ «ШКОЛА № 23 You know our city is very beautiful and has many places to see and rest. But first of all we want to say that our native city gives its guests a hospitable welcome. Tourists coming to Rostov for several days stay at the hotels or at the summer camps on the left bank of the river Don. It is a fact they are very cosy and have cottages for our residents where they can rest for some weeks. There guests like to trip along the Don and these trips are becoming very popular with Rostovites and tourists. To tell the truth the most favourite place of rest of the Rostovites is the central park, which is situated in Bolshaya Sadovaya.Here you can see side-shows, game grounds, funny entertainments which are at the disposal of the small Rostovites. Of course, hundreds ofthousands residents gather in other parks and squars. Look at this beautiful places. Numerous amateur art groups perform concerts here.The people of our city take pride in their botanical gardens which feature a large selection of trees and bushes from east, south and central Asia, the Caucasus and the Crimea.In summer many Rostovites have a rest there and at the Rostov zoo, one of the best in the south of our country as well. Another interesting place to rest is Pushkinskaya street where people like to relax and have a real rest. We are sure it is the most beautiful street in our native city. On both sides of the street there are benches for people and no public transport. Here under the green trees people rest, read books and enjoy the beauty of some architectural constructions. As for decorative elements of this street there are the museum of Fine Arts, the Pushkin monument, the cinema “Russia” and the Gorky park. TASKS:1. Make up questions based on the text.
