The Tower of London was a fortress, a royal palace and later a prison. It is a museum now. There are a lot of interesting collections in the Tower of London. Westminster Abbey Westminster Abbey is a symbol of England. The coronation of all British Kings and Queens takes place in Westminster Abbey . Some famous English people are also buried here. The Houses of Parliament It is the Houses of Parliament, the seat of the British Government. The famous clock Big Ben stands near the Houses of Parliament. It is one of the most famous clocks in the world. Trafalgar Square Trafalgar Square is the main square of London. In the centre of the square there is a big monument. At the top of the column there is a statue of Admiral Nelson who defeated the French at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805.
