Vtorov Street is the main street in Elektrostal


Vtorov street Talking about Elektrostal, we are to say that it made a path in its history from swamps and forests to the economically developed town. The name of our town is closely connected with the name of Vtorov. In the 19th -20th centuries this merchant became one of the richest in Siberia. In 1990 Alexander Fedorovich Vtorov founded a partnership called ‘Vtorov and sons’. Its share capital was 3 million rubles. It was a family business. Sons helped their father and worked as the heads of offices in big cities of Siberia: Alexander – in Irkutsk, Nicolay-in Tomsk. Nicolay took from his father the best quality of businessman and enlarged the financial condition of the family, took part in different projects in creation of the manufacturing market, the military-industrial complex and metallurgy. He made great efforts in development of the business in Siberia: big shops and storehouses were opened in 9 towns. Nicolay created the first Russian manufactory cross and united the group of large Moscow manufactories. During the war he demonstrated his organizational skills in building 2 ammunition factories that fueled our army with whiz bangs. Vtorov built and started the plant “Elektrostal”, took over the cement business, engaged in coal industry near Moscow. And finally he bought “The Cadet bank” that took the 1st place in the Russian industry. The people of our town are thankful to the creator Nicolay Alexandrovich Vtorov. In 2002 one of the streets of the North region took his name. In 2006 there was approved “The honor badge of the head of city district Elektrostal”. This badge is given to people who have contributed to the economy and charity. Talking about the Vtorov street, it should be noted that nowadays it is not overloaded. There are several new houses with landscaped areas and equipped playgrounds. You can see a kindergarten “Nightingale”, a grocery store “Ochag” and a wellness Center in this street. In general, we can say that Vtorov street the street in spite of its small size, looks very solid.
