Famous people of Kazakhstan Abai Kunanbaev - great poet, writer, public figure, founder of the modern Kazakh written literature, culture reformer in spirit of rapprochement with Russian and European culture on the basis of the educated liberal Islam. Abai was born on August 10, 1845 in Chingiz Mountains, Semipalatinsk region (nowadays administrative division) He was the son of one of four Kunanbai’s wives. Abai’s family was aristocratic, both grandfather (Oskenbai) and great-grandfather (Irgizbai) predominated over the sort as governors. He was lucky relatively to family cosiness and house upbringing as both mother Ulzhan and grandmother Zere were extremely charming and gifted natures. Exactly following mother's example name given by his father "Ibragim" was replaced by caressing "Abai", that means “circumspect, thoughtful”. With this name Abai lived his life and has gone down in history. Auezov Muhtar Omarhanovich – the great writer, known in many countries. Auezov was born on September 28, in 1897 in Chingiz volost (nowadays Abai region).  Auezov’s family was kindred with Abai Kunanbaev’s family. Mukhtar’s grandfather Auez was a friend and admirer of Abai’s creativity. Mukhtar Auezov got his education at Russian school, teacher's seminary, at philological faculty of the Leningrad (St.-Petersburg) university, in postgraduate study of the Central Asian University. The first and earliest Auezov’s work was the play "Enlik-Kebek" based on the national legend about tragical destiny of two young people, dared to put the feelings above patrimonial conflicts. The plot is similar to history about enmity of Montekki and Kapuletti families in Shakespeare's play "Romeo and Juliet". The play "Enlik-Kebek" for the first time was put in yurt of Abai’s wife Aigerim and since then didn’t descend from the Kazakh stage. Officer of the Russian army, diplomat, the official of the Russian administration.Chokan Chingisovich Valihanov (his full name Mohammed - Hanafiya, nickname was given by his mother) was born in November, 1835. The initial diploma was received in native village Kushmurune at one private Kazakh school, where he learned the Arabian language, received representation about east poetry and studied in drawing. The last employment was his genuine passion and Chokan’s kept sketches demonstrate that the great talent of the remarkable artist lived in him. Since childhood Chokan’s father involved him in gathering the materials concerning legends and national traditions, and involved him in a circle of highly educated Russian scientists, engineers, officers. Chokan’s further career was predetermined by family tradition and received education: he is the Russian officer, diplomat and official. The most ancient and steady roots of the Kazakh mentality have found reflection in a number of his researches, in particular, in clauses "Traces of shamanism in Kirghiz (Kazakhs)" and "About Moslem in steppe". On 11 April 12, 1999 the 100th anniversary of Kanysh Imantayevitch Satpayev (1899-1964) was celebrated. He was the prominent Kazakh geologist, a founder and the first President of the Kazakhstan Academy of Sciences, Professor, Doctor of Geology and Mineralogy, Member of the USSR Academy of Sciences and Member of the Presidium, the State and Lenin prize-winner. The great learning, the important contribution to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, remarkable geological, scientific and industrial achievements together with social and political activities made Kanysh Satpayev as famous as Abai Kunanbayev, Chokan Valikhanov and Mukhtar Auezov - great sons of the Kazakh people. People's Artist of Kazakhstan, winner of the Ch.Valikhanov Kazakh SSR State Prize, was born on January 1,1904 in the settlement of Chizhin (Panfilov district, Taldy-Korgan region). Studied at N.G.Khludov's studio in Almaty.One of the founders of painting art in Kazakhstan. Died on November 2,1973. The name of A.Kasteyev is assigned to the largest in the Republic State museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.The building that houses a gallery of the famous printer has a long history. Previously, it served as a military commissariat, offices for the Communist Party committee and a House of Pioneers.In 1936 200 works of painting and graphic arts from the reserves of the Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum and the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts were presented to the State Museum of Arts of Kazakhstan, which later was named after Abylkhan Kasteyev.  She was born in 28 October 1957 at the Zhangiz-Tobe station in the East Kazakhstan Province to a family of railway workers. She graduated from the faculty musical-dramatic comedy of theatrical-artistic institute inAlmaty (1984). From 1976 to 1979, soloist of republican youth-pop band "Gulder" ("Flowers"), from 1979 in a pop band "Arai", managed by her husband T.Okapov. Since 1979, a soloist of Kazakhconcert, the main republican concert. She also combines as a teacher of Republic pop-circus college. The winner of various international contests of pop singers (1977 Sopot, Bulgaria, 1979, Istanbul, Turkey). The winner of grand-prix of "Gala-83" international contest in Cuba. Her repertoire includes songs of Kazakh and foreign composers, along with the works of modern composers performs national songs in a peculiar interpretation. For the moment she sums up her 25-year career of singer, arranges her own jubilee concerts, but Roza Rymbayeva is not going to leave stage. "I have sung so many songs in my 25-year career, that I can't place all of them into my concert program" she says. Her tour now includes 30 songs. The artist is recognised as the Prima donna considering her popularity withinin Kazakhstan and the CIS countries. Roza Rymbayeva became the national artist at the age of 28.On 2 April 2008, she became a torchbearer of the 2008 Summer Olympics torch relay lap in Almaty.[1] Kyz Zhibek and Tulegen Asanali Ashimov
