THE BEST PLACE IN THE WORLDNAZAROVA KSENIA I live in Kuban land in the village of Velikovechnoe. It is situated on the right bank of the Belaya river and I think it is the most beautiful place on Earth. Meadows and fields full of bright colourful plants surround it, and the Belaya river flows in the woods along the village attracting people to relax in the shade of trees near the water, fishing or swimming on hot summer days. Velikovechnoe consists of two parts named Velikoe and Vechnoe. Once our village was given to the Cossacks by Ekaterina II but many of the traditions were forgotten during the Soviet period. Now the Cossacks are revived and play an important role in preserving the background of our ancestors and upbringing the young generation true patriots of their homeland. This path is known to every resident of our village, because it leads to our school. Our grandparents and parents walked on this trail, and now we go to school here, because our school is more than 100 years old! Near our school the magnificent Church of St. Nicholas is situated. It is the spiritual centre of our village. But it is willingly visited by parishioners from around our area and guests from other places of the country. Now Velikovechnoe is not only well maintained but also has all modern conveniences and opportunities for the villagers. We do not need to go to the nearest city for some things because we can get everything here. The villagers are very hardworking. They grow a lot of fruit and vegetables on their plots and have the chance to sell it on the market "PROVINCE" that is known with farmers. Our village is known far beyond the region for its healing springs. People from all over Russia come to Velikovechnoe to improve their health in our Spa. Many of my peers have graduated or are attending music or art school, participate in concerts and exhibitions. There are also many other clubs for almost every taste. Sport is very popular with young villagers. They go in for different kinds of sport like football, volleyball, athletic, archery, hiking and tourism. There are two monuments to the dead during the great Patriotic war in the village. The memory of the events of the past have been given from older to younger generation. My village looks great at any season. In the summer the whole village is immersed in greenery. Autumn gradually paints the nature with bright hints allowing you to enjoy its warmth and splendor. I think there is no better place than my village.
