Scotland Scotland is in the north-west Europe and is a part of Great Britain, an island country and the United Kingdom. Scotland is the second largest country in the United Kingdom of Great Britain. Scotland has some 790 islands - 130 inhabited. The Shetland Mouse-ear and Scottish Primrose are endemic flowering plants and there are a variety of endemic mosses and lichens.
