A tag question is a short question added to the end of a positive or negative statement.Normally a positive statement is followed by a negative tag and a negative statement is followed by a positive tag. You and I are going to the party, aren't we? You aren't English, are you? The statement and the tag are always separated by a comma.They finish work at five o'clock, don’t they? The bell has rung, hasn’t it? Question tags are formed with the auxiliary or modal verb from the statement and the appropriate subject.We can't leave him alone, can we?He's rich, isn’t he?
