Good and bad health habits.In the hectic world of today, people are always searching for more ways of keeping fit and healthy. Regularity in life promotes your health. Ways to be as healthy as possible.In order to stay healthy it is important to have a balanced diet – food that contains something from each of the three main groups of food. These groups are – protein, fat, carbohydrates. Protein You find protein in lots of food, - meat, fish, milk, cheese. It helps your body grow and be healthy and it gives you energy. Fat. It gives you energy but don’t eat a lot – it’s bad for you. There are a lot of fatty foods that come from animals, for example milk, cheese, butter, meat. Carbohydrates Give you more than 70% of your energy. Bread, cereals, fruits, vegetables all contain lots of carbohydrates. Fibre Fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts, brown bread all have fibre. It doesn’t give you energy but it fills your stomach when you are hungry. Vitamins and mineralsThere are many different vitamins and minerals. They help your body be healthy. You can get all your vitamins and minerals from fresh fruit and vegetables.
