Evan Lysacek - March, 2015: During the time that HYPERLINK "http://figureskating.about.com/od/profilesoffamousskaters/p/lysacek.htm" 2010 Men's Olympic Figure Skating Champion Evan Lysacek was preparing for the 2015 HYPERLINK "http://figureskating.about.com/od/famousskaters/p/stars.htm" "Stars on Ice" tour, he took the time to chat with “ HYPERLINK "http://figureskating.about.com/bio/Jo-Ann-Schneider-Farris-19555.htm" About.com's Figure Skating” Expert, Jo Ann Schneider Farris.

- What advice do you have for HYPERLINK "http://figureskating.about.com/od/getstartedfigureskating/tp/Ways-To-Encourage-Boys-To-Consider-Figure-Skating.htm" boys and girls who want to pursue figure skating?
- Hard work and success are directly correlated; when I was young, I figured that out. If you have a goal, the only way to get there is through discipline, hard work, and sacrifice.  If you are not interested in working hard at your skating, you should find something else to do.
- Also, I was not interested in being a celebrity.  If you are attempting to achieve something like winning the Olympics, it is important to differentiate between stardom and real achievement.
- Those who succeed in life, in skating or other things are focused and disciplined.  That is the reason I admire athletes and business people.  Both types of people work very hard!
