Урок – путешествие «Telling stories»

Цель урока: систематизация знаний по теме «Past Simple Tense».

Задачи урока.
Образовательные: 1) развивать умение чтения с полным пониманием прочитанного; 2) развивать фонетические и грамматические навыки.

Развивающие: учить сотрудничеству в работе, в достижении поставленной цели.

Воспитательные: 1) воспитывать чувство ответственности за совместную работу; 2) учить быть организованными.

Оборудование: компьютер, мультимедийная установка, экран, картинки, таблица, магнитофон.

Are you ready for the lesson?
Let’s begin. Today we’ll read and speak about Hobbit’s day and use Past Simple. Imagine! You are passengers of a train. We are going to travel to Knowledgeland. Pay attention. The train is leaving.

Hobbit’s day

Hobbit got up at 8 o’clock yesterday. In the morning Hobbit was very busy. He washed his face, hands and cleaned teeth. He had breakfast. He ate jam and bread. Hobbit wrote fairy-tales for little hobbitland children.
In the afternoon Hobbit had his lunch. After lunch he watered flowers, cleaned his house and went shopping. In the shop he bought a lot of sweets and cakes.
In the evening Hobbit was very busy, too. His friends visited him. They listened to Hobbit’s new fairy-tales, watched TV and talked. Hobbit went to bed at 9 o’clock.














Hobbit was at home yesterday.
My sister was more beautiful than her friend.
There were a lot of sheep on the farm.
The weather wasn’t rainy last summer.
Were you in the mountains last month? – No, I wasn’t.
His eyes were big and kind.
Where were they three days ago?
It was time to go to bed.
