А также были рассмотрены предложенные авторами УМК темы проектов “Influence of food on the body”, “Poster of a balanced sandwich”.

Teacher: Today we are going to speak about the theme «Healthy Way of Life».
I am glad to see our participants of the projects, our leaders of the
lesson and our experts.
Leader 1: Dear boys and girls! We invite you to take part in our last lesson, be
ready to speak about our theme and be active.
Leader 2: Let 's remember the names of our projects. They are:” Ecology»,
“Nutrition”, “Sport”, ‘Bad Habits” and “Make-up”.Leader 1: Listen to the participants to the first group “ Ecology”!
Pupil 1: Earth is our Home. Young people must restore an ecological balance
on our planet and leave it clean and healthy for future generations.
We can save our planet only together. Every year at our school different
ecological companies are held and our classmates and I take an active
part in actions for cleaning our town, streets, yard of our school from
pollution.
Pupil 2: We write articles in school newspaper about protecting the environment
and problems of today. Think about the fact: if you throw an aluminium can, it will still litter the Earth up to 500 years later. Take care of your
motherland and – take of your health and life.
Leader 2: Do you agree with these arguments ?Pupils: Yes, of course. We believe that we will restore our ecological balance
оn our planet and leave it clean and healthy for future generations.
Leader 1: But not only the pollution of the environment destroy our health.
People have also bad habits. What bad habits do you know?
Pupils: - smoking
drinking alcohol
taking drugs
skipping breakfast
sleeping too much or too little
physical inactivity
Leader 2: You are absolutely right! And our next group helps you to understand
the evil of bad habits.
Pupil 3: Do you know the proverb: “If I try to be like him, who will be like me?”
My classmates and I completely agree with it because making a project,
we knew much information about bad habits, for example: every year
three million people die of smoking. Nobody smoke in our form, because
we do not want any problems with the parents, health. We cannot let bad
habits rule our lives. Any form of addiction is unhealthy : tobacco, alcohol, drugs. Only strong people do not follow bad habits,
do not follow the crowd. If we want to be a strong personality, we just
say no to bad habits.
Leader 1: Thank you very much. And what can help us to cope with these bad
habits?

Pupil 1: I think physical activity is good for our health. Let’s have a rest and do
some physical exercises listening to music! Do you agree? Let’s start!
One of the pupils show different actions, others- imitate them.
Leader 2: Excellent! And now, try to remember as many proverbs and sayings
about health as you know. What are they?
Pupils:- Good health is above wealth.
In a healthy body-healthy spirit.
An apple a day keeps a doctor away.
Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.
By doing nothing, we learn to do ill.
A change of work is as good as a rest.
Leader 1: The proverbs are useful. But as for me, I’d like to listen to my friend,
he is going to tell us about physical activity because he goes in for sport
in our form and know about the role of sport in our life.
Pupil 4: Sport is an important part of our life. It makes people healthy and keeps
them fit. Some classmates in our form go in for sports professionally and
some – for their health. We do morning exercises every day and visit
a swimming-pool in the centre of our town. At our school pupils have
physical training lessons. We have a big and light gymnasium where
a lot of competitions are held and our form tries to achieve good results.
We also have a sport ground where we go in for sports in the open air:
in summer we run, jump, play football and volleyball; in winter – ski
with great pleasure. Taking part in our project we have known about
sports in Great Britain and Russia and useful effects of sport on our
health.
Leader 2: Thanks for your story! But who knows what does physical activity
mean?
Pupils: - doing morning exercises
playing sport
spending a lot of time in the open air
Leader 2: What are your arguments for sport?
Pupils: - Sport makes people healthy.
It teaches you to win.
Sport makes you strong.
You find new friends.
Many pupils of our school go in for sport.
Leader 1: That’s right! And what about the influence of nutrition? Does it
make you strong and healthy?
Pupil 5: In my opinion, we want to be a healthy generation. We would like to
eat properly and our project helped us to know about useful and
healthy types of food. Table manners – are signs of our pride and respect
for the people around us. We have known the rules how to place knives,
forks and spoons and how to make up useful menu and we have got some
interesting information about meals not only in Russia but in Great Britain
We also changed different recipes with the classmates and offered you
to prepare tasty dishes for your families and relatives. Good luck!
Leader 2: Now, please, work in groups and make some “Eating rules”.
Pupils: - ea t regular
do not skip breakfast
do not eat between meals
eat whole meal bread instead of white
eat high fibre food
eat low fat food
eat more fruit and vegetables and less sweets
Teacher: Thank you for your knowledge. Now I want you to relax.
Listen to music and imagine a field and beautiful flowers there…
( a minute of relaxation).
Our last group is ready to tell us about their work.
Pupil 6: Our work with a project helped us to see the connection between health and beauty. Make-up has not always been accepted in society and the
attitude is changing nowdays.
On the one hand, make-up
helps natural beauty, make women and girls more attractive. But on the
other hand, the ingredients of modern make-up may surprise those who
use lipstick, for example, it contains substance made from fish scales.
The red colour of many lipstics is made from carmine( crushed bodies
of insects). We think our girls are rather attractive without make-up.
It is better exercise regularly, sleep seven or eight hours, have a healthy
diet than use make-up, a poison for the body.
Leader 1: Thank you very much for interesting facts.
Teacher: Thus we can make a conclusion that it is important to…
Pupils:- to use make-up as little as we can
to do sports
to eat healthy food
not to have bad habits
take care of our motherland
Teacher: Dear boys and girls, I am happy today to listen to you.
You are good speakers and friends. And pay attention to
the experts and their marks.
(the experts comment their marks and give recommendations)
Teacher: I hope dear boys and girls that your future projects will be as
nice and informative as today’s projects. Thank you for your work.
The lesson is over. Good Luck!
