Out of a lot of free time activities, different kinds of sports have played a very important role for American children. There is no American kid who doesn’tplay one sport or another. The most popular sport for schoolchildren of all ages is of course baseball. Children start practicing it very early and play until they leave school. This is not an easy sport, and children have to spend a lot of time training. But it is fun, and a lot of people come to see the games. One more favorite sport for children is European football or soccer. It is popular. Both boys and girls play it day and night. But when boys get older they start training and playing American football or just football. This is the most popular game of the nation, and practically all boys in the age from 14 to 18 are crazy about it. This game needs good speed and good strength, so children should train very much and very hard. Track events are not very popular, not very many children take them us as hobby, maybe this is why there are not many American champions in this sport. Recently, more and more American children have chosen jogging, aerobics or fitness as their hobbies. The nation wants to be strong, healthy and beautiful.
