We (my parents and I) live in a new flat in one of the new-built high-rises of our city. We have three-room flat of a block with an elevator. Our flat is on the fourth floor. As you enter my flat, you find yourself in a hall. From there you can see the doors of our three rooms – living room, parents’ bedroom and my room (it is on the right).
My room is at the same time a bedroom and a study for me. It is very comfortable. Though it is the smallest room of our flat, it has its advantages. The window of my room faces the beautiful green park situated near our house. I like to look out of my window when the sun shines outside or when the weather is snowy or rainy.
The walls of my bedroom are papered in a design of gold and beige stripes. The color of curtains on the window matches the color of wallpapers perfectly.
The furniture doesn’t take much space in my bedroom. There is a writing table with lamp on it. I keep my notes in it, pencils and pens, posters, magazines and other things necessary things.
There is a built-in wardrobe in my room, just in the right corner. It has coat-hangers – I use them to hang clothes in. There is a bookcase opposite the window. It is fool of books, newspapers and magazines. On the little table near the bookcase there is a stereo system – I like to listen to music.
In my room there is also a bed. It is not very large but still very comfortable. It also plays the role of the sofa. Above the bed there is my photo-portrait hanging on the wall.
The wooden floor in my room is covered with thick brown carpet.
I like flowers, there is a lot of different plants on my windowsill.
I really like my room, and when my friends come to see me, they like to spend time in it too, because it is cozy and light.
