Author: Once upon a time there lives a hen.
Hen: Hello!!! My name is Jen, or Jen the Hen.
Author: Jen the Hen has got a family. She has got three little children. They live in a brown house in Green Street. She has got one son and two daughters.
Son: We like to run and jump.
The first daughter: We are a happy family.
The second daughter: We like our mother.
Author: Jen the hen has got three friends. They are a cat, a dog and a duck.
Cat: Hello! My name is Pam or Pam the Cat.
Dog: Hi! My name is Tug, or Tug the Dog!
Duck: How are you? My name is Chuck. Or Chuck the Duck.
Merry song:
Chuck, chuck, oh, my chickens,
Chuck, chuck, chuck, chuck, oh, my chickens,
Little, lovely, fluffy chickens,
White and yellow little chickens.

2nd scene:
Author: One day Jen the Hen says
Hen: I’ve got 5 seeds/ I want to plant them. I know how to have many seeds.
The first daughter: Oh, mummy, how clever you are!
Hen: Let’s go to our friends and ask them to help us. Hi, Pam. How are you? I want to plant some seeds. Can you help me?
Cat: I’d love to, but I’m not well today. I can’t help you. I can’t work, but I can play.
Author: So Jen the Hen goes to Tug, the Dog.
Hen: Hello, Tug! Are you fine today? Can you help me?
Dog: I’m fine, but I don’t like to work. I like to play
Author: So Jen the Hen goes to Chuck the Duck.
Hen: Glad to meet you, my friend. Can you help me to plant some seeds?
Duck: Oh, no. I’m sorry, I can’t. I want to go to the lake and swim. I don’t like to work
Author: So Jen the Hen goes to her children.
Hen: I’m very sorry. But my friends are lazy. They don’t like to work. Can you help me?
Son: Don’t worry, dear Mummy!
The first daughter: We can help you!
The second daughter: With great pleasure.
Author: They love their mother and help her plant the seeds.

Author: now Jen the Hen has got many seeds. She knows how to make bread and goes to her friends. She wants them to help her.
Cat: I don’t want to help you to make bread. I want to jump.
Dog: I don’t want to help you to make bread. I want to run.
Duck: I don’t want to help you to make bread. I want to swim.
Hen: What a pity!
Author: and she goes home.
Son: What the matter with you, mummy?
Hen: I’m sorry, but my friends don’t want to help me.
Son: Don’t worry, dear mummy.
The first daughter: We can help you.
The second daughter: With great pleasure.
3rd scene:
Author: Jen the Hen and her children are tired, but happy. Now the bread is ready. Suddenly friends come in. They are hungry and want to eat.
Hen: Glad to meet you. Do you want to help me eat the bread?
Cat: Oh, yes, I’m hungry.
Dog: Of course. I’m as hungry as a hunter.
Duck: With great pleasure. The bread looks so nice.
Hen: You are right. The bread is nice. But you lazy and I don’t want to give you this bread. I give it to my chickens. They are very, very nice. I love them very much.
