По определению, игра – это вид деятельности в условиях ситуаций, направленных на воссоздание и усвоение общественного опыта, в котором складывается и совершенствуется самоуправление поведением.
РОЛЕВАЯ ИГРА – это интерактивный метод, который позволяет обучаться на собственном опыте путем специально организованного и регулируемого “проживания” жизненной и профессиональной ситуации. Ролевые игры – эффективный прием работы. Учащиеся применяют осваиваемый языковой материал в ситуациях, характерных для окружающей их действительности, что способствует развитию речевой инициативы и усиливает естественно-коммуникативную направленность урока.
Ролевые игры и задания развивают и совершенствуют у школьников речемыслительную деятельность. Они способствуют также появлению у ребят искреннего желания общаться на иностранном языке не только на уроке, но и во внеурочное время. Иными словами, здесь успешно формируется внутренний мотив к изучению иностранного языка.

1 ролевая игра Christmas celebrations.
Цель игры: Узнать о традициях празднования Рождества в Британии и других странах;
-закрепление лексики по теме;
Ход игры:
Teacher: Soon we have New Year; it’s one of the best holidays in our country. And now I would like to speak about great holiday in Britain. Do you know what holiday is it?
Pupil 1: It is Christmas. All British people celebrate it on the 25- th of December.
Teacher: It’s right. I think it’ll be interesting to speak about traditions of this holiday. Do you know them?
Pupil 2: The most people in Britain put Christmas tree, they decorate it with lights, tinsel and toys.
Teacher: And what do the children hang near the fireplace?
Pupil 3: They hang stockings for Father Christmas’ presents.
Teacher: And what do you know about another old tradition in Great Britain?
Pupil 4: Groups of children and adults in England, Canada, the USA go from house to house and sing Christmas songs, called carols. Some people give them money, sweets, small presents.
Pupil 5: And I would like to speak about Christmas parties. British families have traditional Christmas food – turkey, pudding, mince pies. British people have fun with crackers at Christmas lunch or dinner, they go bang and people can find a colorful paper party hat or crown, small presents, silly jokes.
Teacher: Do you know that in Australia and New Zealand December comes during the summer? Many people celebrate Christmas by going on a picnic or to the beach. Schoolchildren have a six-week holiday at that time. And what do you know about Christmas in Russia?
Pupil 6: Russian people celebrate Christmas on January, 7.We have Christmas tree and get presents too. Very many people go to the church and then have Christmas parties.
Pupil 7: And I want to tell that most Scottish families have a Christmas tree and sing carols, but they have their most important celebrations on New Year’s Eve, it is called Hogmanay.
Teacher: Thank you very much. It was interesting to know about all these facts. I think, next time we’ll speak about another holiday in Great Britain.

Mother: Hello, my children! How are you, my sonny?
Son: I’m fine, thanks. I’ve got the five! 
Mother: I’m very glad! Thank you! How are you, my daughter?
Daughter: I am not so good. I’ve got a bad mark.
Mother: Don’t cry, my darling!
Daughter: My mother is so kind! I love my mummy!
Son: I love my mummy too!
Mother: I love you, my dear children, too!
Teacher: Thank you, children. You are good actors. Go to your places, please.

Teacher: I want you to make an advertisement about the place in London. Then we vote for the best advertiser and the best advertisement.
But first of all I want you to make a circle and tell me about yourself. I’ll give you some time to prepare a short story about yourself.
For example:
- Hello! My name is Lena. I am 10 years old. I study in the fifth form. I like music and I can dance very well. I like my school. I have many friends. I want to visit London, because… I would like to tell you about… because…
