London Sights
Have you ever been to London? I’m going to tell you about some of its interesting sights.
London is the capital of the United Kingdom. It is rich in historic buildings, galleries and museums.
For example, Madame Tussaud’s museum has one of the largest collections of wax models in the world. In the Museum of the Moving Image, or MOMI, the history and magic of cinema and TV is explained. London’s parks are full of trees, grass, flowers and water. You can walk among old trees, relax and admire plants or take part in the activities such as tennis, swimming and horseriding.
Other places of interest are London Zoo, The Houses of Parliament, Hyde Park with its Speaker’s Corner, St. James Park, Regent’s Park, Westminster Abbey, The British Museum, The Tower of London, St. Paul’s Cathedral and others.
Among the famous Englishmen we can mention Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Daniel Defoe, William Shakespeare, Agatha Christie, Joseph Turner, John R.R. Tolkien, Charles Darwin. They were writers, painters, scientists, musicians, poets or politicians. They made a lot for people and we still remember their outstanding adventure and detective stories, poetry and novels.
As for me, London is a great city and worth visiting.
