Presentation: to show and give new words:
Bananas, liter of water, bars of chocolate, slices of bread, pizza, cans of fizzy drink, fruit, bowls of rice.
Extra idea: Divide the class into 2 or 3 teams. Each team writes the name of a different item on ten pieces of paper. Collect the papers in and put them in a bag. Put the names of the teams on the board (team A, team B, team C, etc.) so we can record one point each time a team member asks a question correctly. Take a paper out of the bag and say the word to team A.
Group work: Explain that the pupils are in the International Interactive Café. Pupils work in groups of three and write the names of the meals shown on the menu in Ex.3 as well as other food and drinks from their menu. EVALUATE

Brainstorming: Teacher should show the class any maps or pictures of Australia. And pupils should point out Sydney on a map.
Presentation: T should give these words: Australian, barbecue, celebration, dictionary, farmer, gold mine, grape, lorry, melon, role play, south, sugar cane, text, train, design, fish, kill, meat, prepare, easy.
Group work: P should look at the pictures of the restaurants and they imagine they are in Sydney. Then ask: Which restaurants do they go in? Why? Pupils work in small groups, look at the pictures of the restaurants, decide which one they would go in and justify their choice. Collect in pupils’ answers on the board and ask them to explain their choice.
Extra idea: Pupils work in pairs. Pupils copy a text into their notebooks. One pupil copies text 1 and leaves gaps for the verbs. They then exchange books and fill in the spaces. EVALUATE
