Theme: Ecology problems in our country
The Type of the lesson: travelling lesson
Using methods: group and individual work, questions and answers, critical thinking, word.Connecting with other subjects: Russian, Kazakh, IT (Information Technology), Geography, Biology. Visual aids: the interactive board, A diagram, slides.
Aims: Educational: to complete the students' knowledge about ecological problems, to train the students to discuss on these theme, to enrich students vocabulary;
Developing: to develop speech, to develop visual and hearing memory of students, to develop speaking, reading, writing and listening skills;
Bringing-up: to bring up the students' to love the nature of their country, to teach students' to protect the environment and to keep the environment clean, to wake up students' interests to language, to love our Motherland.
I. Organization moment:- Good afternoon, dear guests, teachers and students! The theme of today's lesson is ''Ecological problems in our country''. It is an important problem. We will speak about the environmental problems.
II. Introduction of the objectives of the lesson.
III. Main Part:
1. Answer the questions.
1. What does the word ''ecology'' mean?
2. Are polluted air, land and water harmful to people, animals and plants?
3. What kinds of things can be recycled?
4. TV programs require us to be economical: save energy, water, electric power. Why must we save?
IV. Students' retelling the texts on the following themes:
1. Ecological problems in our country
2. History of the Aral Sea.
3. Ecological Problems of the Aral Sea
4. The Aral Sea degradation
5. Semey poligon V. Drawing up the ecological program. Work in groups.
The ecological program:
- So, as you see, ecology is one of the global problems nowadays. What should we do? Make up your ecological program.
For Example:
Air:
People must care about forests.
Factories and plants must not throw gas and smoke into the atmosphere.
Water:
Factories and plants must stop to throw chemical and toxic wastes into the rivers seas.
People should not throw rubbish and trash into the rivers and lakes.
Ground:
People must not throw out trash and rubbish in the streets and in the forests. They must recycle it.
We must put litter in the special boxes.
Wildlife:
People must care about animals and plants and they should not kill animals for their fur.
People must not cut down so many trees.
VI. Write the words with a line joining it to the express ''Problems of the Environment'', ''Ecology'' in a circle.
VII. Concluding part
- Our lesson is coming to an end. In conclusion I'd to tell you that the protection of nature is everybody's business.
An outstanding English writer John Galsworthy said: ''If you don't think about the future, you will not have it''. Let's think about the future. Let's keep our planet tidy and make it better. Let's save the Earth for ourselves and for the next generations.
