Мой перевод стихотворения Юлии Друниной Я родом не из детства

Julia DruninaI’m not from the childhood – I’m from war.
The joy of silence, days without bombs
Are as important for me to restore
As I once vowed in front of my friends’ tombs.
I’m not from the childhood – I’m from war.
Once in the front, in partisan detachment
I realized forever I’ll no more
Be cruel to a man or anything around me.
I’m not from the childhood – I’m from war.
And maybe that’s why I’m not defended.
In hearts of soldiers there’s eternal score,
Your hands are rough; we’re by the war offended.

I’m not from the childhood – I’m from war.
It’s not my fault, believe me, let it be no more.
