«English is fun!»

Внеклассное мероприятие по английскому языку в 8 классах
«English is fun!»
Цели:
Повышать интерес учащихся к изучаемому предмету;
Активизировать раннее изученный материал в игровой форме;
Формировать навык работы в команде, умение применять полученные знания на практике;
Воспитывать чувство поддержки и уважения друг к другу.
Время проведения: 45 минут.
Участники:3 команды (по 5 человек с каждой подгруппы).
Оборудование: карточки с заданиями
Подготовка к мероприятию:
1)Учащиеся заранее придумают название команды, девиз и эмблему. Болельщики за команды так же готовят плакат с эмблемой команды, который они будут держать во время соревнования, чтобы поддержать свою команду;
2) Учителю необходимо заранее приготовить раздаточный материал и грамоты для вручения победителям.

Ход мероприятия:
I. Приветственное слово учителя:
- Hello, boys and girls! I am glad to see you. Today we will have very funny competition «English is fun!». Let’s greet each team. The team “…. ”
Учитель называет каждую команду по очереди. Каждая команда представляет себя в произвольной форме (хором выкрикнуть называние и девиз, показать эмблему).
- Thank you pupils. Let’s start our competition. I wish you good luck.
II. Конкурсные задания.
The first task is to match parts of the UK with their capitals.
(результаты выполненных заданий передаются жюри для подсчёта баллов. При необходимости учитель может оказать помощь жюри)The second task is to match the holidays and their dates
The third task is to match the authors and their works
The fourth task is to find the second part of the names of London’s places of interest
The fifth task is to find the second part of the names of famous cities.
The sixth task is to answer the questions about Great Britain.
The seventh task is to answer the questions about the USA.
( После проведения всех туров брейн-ринга жюри подводят итоги. В это время командам дается дополнительное задание: прочитать английские пословицы и найти эквиваленты к ним на русском языке)  Рефлексия.
(После проведения игры проводится самооценка своего эмоционального состояния)
