Аннотация
Настоящая методическая разработка урока общеобразовательного цикла предназначена для студентов I курса по профессии «Повар, кондитер». Тема урока «Молодежные субкультуры».
Подготовка к уроку приобщает студентов к ознакомлению с различными видами молодежных субкультур, расширению кругозора обучающихся, поиску и отбору нужной информации в сети Интернета, развивает творческие способности.
ИКТ использовались в процессе подготовки к уроку как средство извлечения информации и наглядного материала, для этого использовали Интернет. Наглядный материал оформлен в виде презентации в Power Point.

Введение.
Обобщающий урок «Молодежные субкультуры» является заключительным к разделу «Молодежь в современном обществе». Огромным плюсом данного вида учебной деятельности является вовлечение абсолютно всех студентов группы в общую работу, так как очень часто приходиться сталкиваться с трудностями в умении организовать работу студентов и приучить их к такой работе как постоянной. Преподаватель может подсказать источники информации, а может просто направить мысль студента в нужном направлении для самостоятельного поиска. Но в результате ребята должны уметь самостоятельно организовывать поиск информации из различных источников, обрабатывать, преобразовывать, передавать информацию, работать с компьютерными программами. Затем совместными усилиями решить проблему, применив необходимые знания подчас из разных областей, получить реальный и ощутимый результат. Вся работа над проблемой, таким образом, приобретает контуры проектной деятельности.
Перед учащимися я поставила следующую цель: подведение итогов и оформление проектной работы по теме «Молодежные субкультуры», воспитание толерантного отношения к попыткам самовыражения молодежи и понимания этих попыток.
Цель урока: обобщение знаний обучающихся по теме “Молодежные субкультуры”, совершенствование навыков и умений.
Задачи урока:
Образовательные:
систематизировать знания учащихся по теме “Молодежные субкультуры”;
научить работать с различными заданиями в формате ЕГЭ;
активизировать работу каждого обучающегося.
Развивающие:
развивать лексические навыки говорения;
развивать мышление, логическую догадку, фантазию при изучении иностранного языка.
Воспитательные:
воспитывать культуру языкового общения, толерантности к попыткам самовыражения молодежи, понимания этих попыток;
прививать любовь и желание изучать иностранный язык через разные формы работы.
Практические:
умение оценивать себя в разных видах речевой деятельности.
Оборудование: компьютер, проектор, экран, таблички с надписями, раздаточный материал.
Ход урока
1. Организационный момент.
Т: Good morning! I am very glad to see you today. Sit down, please. Today we are going to speak about different youth subcultures and teenagers problems. I hope at the end of our lesson you’ll have enough information to get ready for your project work.

Now let’s begin our lesson with the phonetic exercise.

Т: Pronounce the words and word combinations. Say after the announcer, mind your pronunciation.

Т: You know that a lot of young people belong to different subcultures. What is a subculture? Choose the right characteristics of this word.

Subculture is ….
1. a way of life.
2. a way for teenagers to express their individuality.
3. the total of the inherited (унаследованный) ideas, beliefs, values and knowledge.
4. any group within a larger complex culture which has interests that vary from those of the mainstream culture.
5. the total range of activities and ideas of a group of people with shared traditions, which are transmitted and reinforced by the members of the group.
6. a group with distinct styles, behaviors and interests.
T: What youth subcultures do you know?

P: There are many different subcultures among young people. They are hippies, bikers, rockers, mods, punks, ravers, goths, skinheads and so on.

T: Look at the photo. What subculture do young people belong to?

P: I think they are bikers.
T: Why do you think so?
P: They ride motorbikes and wear leather jackets.
T: What do you know about them?
P: Bikes like high speed and freedom.
T: Look at the next photo. (Слайд 5)
Who are they? What do you know about them?

P: To my mind, they are punks, because they dress in a shocking way to express their identity. Punks have brightly coloured hair and wear metal chains. They want to show a rebellion against society. Their music is loud and aggressive .T: You are right. Thank you.
T: What subculture do young people belong to and why? What do you know about them?

P: I consider that they are goths, because the members of this subculture wear the blackest black with a lot of silver jewellery, have very black hair and look as thin and pale as possible.
T: Yes, Goths gather together to talk about the end of the world. Thank you. You know a lot about this subculture.
T: Look at the next photo. (Слайд 7)
Who are they? What do you know about them?

P: I think they are hackers: the wizards of the computer community. This young people have a deep understanding of how their computers work. Hackers don’t protest against their parents but they do illegal things.
T: You are right. But what illegal things do hackers make?
P: As far as I know, hackers secretly use or change the information in other peoples’ computer systems.
T: Тhank you. You know a lot about the hackers.
So what are the main features of any subculture?
P: The image, values and music are the main features of any subculture.
T: That’s right. I agree with you.
4. Основной этап урока.
T:- Well, you know a lot about what a subculture is. Name members of the subcultures that are on the board and you should tell me what associations you have when you hear these words:

Обучающиеся называют представителей субкультур, представленных на доске. (A punk, a goth, a hippie, an emo, а skinhead)
1.Punks (strange hairstyle, pierced lips, earlobs, drugs… )
2. Goths (black cloths, black nails, eyes, lips; they talk about vampires and about the end of the world)
3. Hippies (peace, love, drugs, freedom) they are not violent; they want to change the world to the best.
4. Emos (sadness, pink and black…)
5. Skinheads (leather cloths, bold heads, chains…)
T: What other members of subcultures do you know?

T: Did you know that some famous people belonged to different subcultures when they were young? For example, Bill Clinton, the American ex-president.

T: Now let’s do some exercises.
You have the cards on your desks. Look through the sentences. They are not correct. Make the right variant, please.
The music of punks is romantic. (aggressive)
Rockers prefer soul music. (mods)
Hippies show off their independence in supporting an aggressive attitude and lifestyle. (liberal)
Ravers are thought to be sentimental. (violent)
Punks support society’s standards. (reject)
T: Very good. Let’s do one more grammar exercise. Use like or as.
Rock’n’roll … rap music appeared in the USA. (like)
Russian skinheads … skinheads in Britain are very aggressive. (like)
She looks … her mother. (like)
Today teenagers read a lot … their parents did. (as).
Punks in Russia have their favorite bands … punks in other countries do. (as)
T: Well. So what are the main features of any subculture?
P: The image, values and music are the main features of any subculture.
T: That’s right. I agree with you.
Of course, we can’t speak about subculture without music.
I offer to listen to some pieces of music. If you can you’ll try to guess what subculture the music belong to. Please, listen to the first composition.

P: I think emo teens might like it because the song is very sad.
P2: Emo people like touching tunes because they make them cry.
T: I agree. I also think that emo might enjoy such sad music.

In which text can you find the description of the:
goth?
mod?
skinhead?
raver?
hacker? AHe is a wizard of the computer community, he knows how his computer works. He can do things with it that seem “magical”. BHe is one of a gang of white boys characterized by closely cropped hair, heavy boots, and braces and a nationalist and racist agenda.
CHe is a person who leads a wild or uninhibited social life, especially attending “Rave” parties. DElements of the lifestyle include music, clothes (often tailor-made), dancing and motor scooters.
EHe is characterized by black clothes and deathly white make-up. FHe is a member of a motorcycle gang.
T: Now we’ll have a discussion. The topic of it is your own attitude to the representatives of different subcultures. Our class is divided into 2 groups: against and for subcultures. Look at the slides and talk about negative and positive features which subcultures have. So, let’s start our crosstalk.
-1. I dislike punks because of their shocking looks.
+ 1. But I think that all people have the right to self-expression and to choose their own style.
-2. Many people think that Goths are sinister and strange.
+ 2. I believe that every subculture has its own interesting points.
-3. Bikers are thought to be dangerous, because they ride motorized vehicles.
+ 3. But I like bikers’ way of life. It seems to me that they have more freedom and they really enjoy life. I think that riding a bike is great.
-4. Skinheads are considered to be violent and aggressive. I don’t really like them for their racist ideas.
+ 4. I agree with you about skinheads. But there are many other youth subcultures which are peaceful and look quite normal. For example, mods. They prefer elegant clothes and listen to soul music.
-5. I suppose that some people don’t like hippies, because their behavior differs from social norms, and they are known to be drug users.
+ 5. But hippies preach a philosophy of peace and love and they want to change the world to the best.
-6. Ravers organize massive all-night dance parties, take drugs and thought to be violent. They protest against the parents.
+ 6. Ravers want to try out all sort of option, and, of course, they have a bad image.
-7. Rockers are associated with something rebellious. They ride powerful motorbikes, wear thick leather jackets and army boots, drink alcohol. Their music is loud, fast and tuneless.
+ 7. But there are many rock-groups which create new styles of rock-music.
T: Very good. Thank you. But now answer my question: “What positive and negative features do youth subcultures have?” p, go to the blackboard and mark positive features with the plus and negative with the minus.

6. Подведение итогов урока.

8. Рефлексия.
Прием рефлексии «подведение итогов». Каждый студент формулирует итоги урока, используя схему, где он соединяет и обобщает свои впечатления, знания, умения.

Заключение
Обобщающий урок по теме «Молодежные субкультуры» проходил в группе студентов по профессии «Повар, кондитер». Студенты с интересом приняли участие в работе данного урока, т. к. эта тема близка для них и интересна. Кроме того, все больше подростков становятся участниками неформальных течений и необходимо владеть информацией об этой культурной нише, быть готовым столкнуться с ее представителями в реальной жизни. Считаю, что поставленные цели достигнуты. Обучающиеся обобщили учебный материал по теме и подготовились к оформлению проектной работы.
