Открытый урок "Who is the cleverest in English?"
Цели:
предоставить учащимся возможность для реализации творческого потенциала и демонстрации достижений в изучении английского языка;
выявить уровень сформированности коммуникативных умений и навыков.
Задачи:
Расширить знания учащихся об Америке и Англии.
Приобщить учащихся к культуре стран изучаемого языка.
Поддержать интерес к изучению английского языка.
Развивать память, наглядно-образное мышление, внимание.
Активизировать учебные умения и навыки школьников.
Оборудование: грамматический тест, жетоны, карточки с номерами от 1 до 10, картинки флагов, фото писателей, карточки с заданиями.
Ход мероприятия
Teacher:
Good morning everybody! Welcome to our competition! I am glad to see you at our game! Today we’ll have an unusual lesson – an intellectual game “Who is the cleverest in English?”. Let’s me introduce our jury.
(To the jury) Today you are given a very important task You are going to watch our game and help us decide who will win. Please, write down the teams scores.
Now we start our game. Dear friends, introduce your teams, please!

Teacher:
We are glad to meet you. Good luck to everybody!
Now it’s time to show us your knowledge in English-speaking countries. Look at the slides and answer to my questions one at a time.
Teacher:
Now we have the main part of our competition. And we hope you can show us your knowledge of culture and literature of different English-Speaking countries. Your task is to choose the correct answer. You’ll have a star for every right answer.
You see the names of the cities on the board. Show me only the number.

Жюри считает жетоны, полученные каждым участником за правильные ответы, подводит итоги данного тура. Учитель записывает фамилии участников и баллы на доске. По итогам в следующий тур проходят только два участника.

According to our results only two students are left and we’ll see who is the cleverest in English. The last part of our competition is to answer as many questions as you can one by one for 2 minutes. Let’s start.
Участникам предлагается ответить на вопросы за 2 минуты по очереди. Кто больше даст правильных ответов, тот и выиграл. Учитель читает вопросы. Жюри фиксирует правильные ответы.
