Микротема : История Олимпийских игр
Задачи: 1. Научить учащихся прогнозировать смысловую информацию по заголовку и предварительной беседе.
2. Научить учащихся извлекать смысловую информацию текста.
3. Научить учащихся беседовать по прочитанному и рассказывать об истории
Олимпийских игр.
4. Контроль знаний учащихся по пройденному грамматическому материалу.
Воспитательно- образовательные задачи: 1. Воспитывать у учащихся чувство гордости за свою страну. 2. Развивать у учащихся долговременную память.
Оснащение урока: компьютер, проектор, магнитофон, экран, раздаточный материал
( текст аудиозаписи, задания по тексту, грамматический тест)

T- Hello children, sit down please. Who is absent today?

T-Thanks. Well, we have been studing the topic “ Spor t“ for two weeks already. Now I want you to answer some of my question is “ What role does sport play in your life?”---, please.P2-…….
T- Now you….

T- Well done. The next question” What is the most important sport event in the world?”
P4- It is the Olympic Games
T- You are right. Today we shall speak about the history of these games and at the end of the lesson you will write a short grammar test. You know that there are summer and winter Olympic games Tell me please, what country will be the hostess of the Winter Olympiad in 2014?
P5- It will be Russia.
T- Yes. And where, in what city they will be hold?
P5- In the city of Sochi.
T- Quite right. It’s great honor for our country and at the same time it’s great responsibility. Now I want you to remember how Russia and Sochi were chosen to be the hostesses of the Winter Olympic games . It was the real holiday for all citizens of Russia. Look at the screen.

T- You must know that the 20th summer Olympiad was also held in our country in Moscow in 1980.

T- Tell me how many events do the summer Olympic Games include? Make a guess.

T- Yes/No . There are 17summer events. And What about winter?
P1- 9T- Yes/No. Look at the screen. ---- read the names of summer events

T- Thanks. Now you will listen to the text about the history of the Olympic Games and after that we shall do some exercises. On the screen you see questions. Look them through. I give you one or two minutes.

T- Now listen to the text . ( Звучит запись. Во время ее звучания на экране появляется портрет Кубертена).
T- O.K. Now let’s answer the questions. ….read the first question.

T- You have done this task well. Now let’s do some exercises on this text .----- you are the first.
( учащиеся выполняют 3 упражнения : 1- закончи предложения, 2- сопоставь начало и конец предложения, найдите в тексте английские эквиваленты русским словам и словосочетаниям)
T- Very well. Who can give me a short summary of this text? --- try
P1- ….T- Wonderful . I like it Now we have some time left and I give you a short grammar test . Open your copy-books. You have 15 minutes.

T- Hand in your papers
Today you have worked hard. We have learnt a lot about the history of the Olympic gamer, about winter and summer Olympiads. All of you will get good and excellent marks & as for your grammar test I will check them & you will get your marks tomorrow. Open your record-books & write down you home task. It is ex—p--. You must prepare a report about a famous Russian sportsman. The list you see in your books. Choose any of them. That’s all for today . The lesson is over . Good Bye.

Now open your books page 190. We shall do some exercises on this text. First of all Ex.14. Read & say which of the two is right.

A lot of people think that Canada is in many ways like Russia. Say what makes our countries alike and different.
