My Native Place In the very heart of Russia in 10 kilometers from Nizhnij Novgorod aside Bogorodsk between the Oka and the lake Pyra the village of Sartakovo is situated. The legend says that this settlement was founded by the Khan Sartak. But the first mention about Sartakovo is dated 1619. There was a single well in the village. It was known by its wonderful gustatory and medicinal qualities to the whole neighborhood. Gradually the source was uncared-for. The idea of the source’s rebirth and organisation of its realisation belongs to Vladimir Nikolaevich Isaychev. Isaychev was born in 1942 in Sartakovo in a big family. Vladimir Nikolaevich Isaychev worked at the Gorky automobile plant, served in the Soviet Army. Since 1989 he has been living and working in Moscow. Vladimir Nikolaevich is a Vice-chairman of the Supreme Court of Arbitration of Russia. Vladimir Nikolaevich is also a member of the Union of literati of Russia. Several collections of poems were written by him, romances and songs were written in commonwealth with famous composers. The high spiritual blast of the countryman and the devout wish to revive the source in the native village deserve the deepest respect. In 2003 the source was revived. The chapel and the church were built later. The Patriarchy Alexij 2 had blest this good thing. The holiday “Return to Sources” took place on August 9, 2003 and was dated by 100th anniversary Seraphim Sarovski’s canonization. The holiday “Return to Sources” is annual. It is held in Sartakovo on the last Saturday in July.
