Приветствие. Вступление.
Цели.
Ladies and gentlemen! Let me introduce you to Mr. Brown.( открыть слайд и повесить Брауна на доску) He is a businessman and came from London. Now he came to a business meeting but he always wanted to come to Russia on holidays and to know our country better. We should try to help him and while helping we reach the aim of our lesson to learn new adjectives, new idioms and to improve our writing and speaking skills on the topic “Travelling”. So the theme of our meeting today is “Holidays and Travelling”.(переключить слайд)
And what can help us to communicate with native speakers when we travel to other countries, make new friends there, learn more about the culture and traditions of different countries?ответы.

Sure. Learning English is necessary if we want to travel to other country and to know about this country better. And what should we do to improve our language? (повесить список на доску.)I want to offer you to choose the most important items for learning English from this list.

As we can see all these items are important for learning English. And now our blackboard looks like a travel guide. This map can help us to follow properly the difficult way of learning English. Let’s continue our lesson according to this guide.

So, now we have learned that the English idiom “travelling light” is close to Russian путешествовать налегке and the idiom “tourist traps” is close to Russian популярные среди туристов места отдыха и достопримечательности.
Now I want you to do an individual task. Take the blue card please. You see two sentences, but only one need the idiom we’ve learned. You should fill in the missing idiom into the sentence. I’ll give you 2 minutes.
