Introduction It is a well – known fact that most of our population prefer living in big cities which offer great opportunities. On the other hand, some people think life in cities is really dangerous. It is a matter of opinion. (38 words) Arguments For: A lot of educational establishments where young people can receive good education and become highly – qualified specialists.Exciting nightlife: clubs, cinemas, theatres, restaurants where people can relax and try international cuisine.Public transport works regularly: it is easy to get to any destination. Arguments Against: The air is so much polluted that it is sometimes difficult to breathe. As a result, many people suffer from lung disease, pneumonia, asthma and bronchitis. City lifestyle is very fast and stressful because of overcrowded public transport and traffic jams during rush hours. Main Body Part 1 Personally, I strongly believe that life in a big city has a lot of advantages. To begin with, there are a lot of educational establishments like colleges, universities and academies where young people can receive good education and become highly – qualified specialists. Moreover, big cities are attractive for their excellent nightlife as there are many clubs, theatres and restaurants where people can relax and try international cuisine. (66 words) Main Body Part 2 However, some people are against living in big cities. Firstly, they say that the air is so much polluted that it can be difficult to breathe. As a result, people suffer from lunge disease, pneumonia, bronchitis and asthma. Furthermore, they insist that in big cities life is fast and stressful. It is so because public transport is overcrowded and there are terrible traffic jams during the rush hours. (72 words) Main Body Part 3 I partly agree with this view because environmental problems in big cities have become really dramatic. Nevertheless, I am sure that people can do a lot to improve their environment, for example, stop smoking and start using solar power instead of petrol. This will surely decrease the amount of exhaust fumes in the air.(54 words) Conclusion All things considered, I would like to point out that although many people are in favour of living in big cities, there are others who do not share this view.
