The theme of the lesson: Free- time activities
The aims of the lesson:
Introducing and practicing new vocabulary. Introducing new functional language.
Developing reading skills, listening skills, speaking
To create a relaxed, non-threatening atmosphere in the classroom
The aids of the lesson: board, tape-recorder, handouts, student’s book, teacher’s book
Procedure of the lesson
Organization moment: Greeting children. Checking absentees.
Talk about weather, date, day.
Lead-in
Children look at the board. You see “FREE TIME ACTIVITIES”. Teacher says one true sentence about her free-time activities, e.g. I like to read in my free time and go for a walk.
What about you? What do you like to do in your free time?
I can help you children. Look at the board and you can see kinds of free-time activities, sport activities. Let’s try to remember how they are called.
So children as you understood today we are going to talk about our free-time activities
Presentation of a new material.
LISTENING COMPREHENSION.
Children open your books at p 18. Listen once and label the photos with the words. Check their answers, then play the recording a second time, pausing after each item аnd asking students to repeat.
