Russia The monuments in ST Petersburg and Moscow. The Winter Palace or the Hermitage is one of the most famous and oldest museums in the world. It appeared in Moscow in 1864 and had 286 animals then. There are more then 6000 different animals in its rich collection now: elephants and giraffes, polar bears and brown bears, squirrelsand foxes, deer and wolves, lions and tigers. Monument to marshal Zhukov was set in Moscow on the riding square May 8, 1995 year in honor of the 50 anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic war. Monument to Ivan Fyodorov- creator of the first printed book is set in the year 1909. . Monument to Yuri Gagarin in Moscow was installed July 4, 1980 year.
