My native townrrrrr BeginningMy native city is Taganrog. .It is situated in the south of Russia on the Azov sea.I have been living here for 16 years and have a lot of recollections connected with this city. The history of Taganrog dates back to the 17th century. Taganrog was founded by Peter the Great in 1698 and I know that the tsar was going to make it a capital, but changed his mind.Now it’s quite and small town, with a population of about 270 000 people.
A famous Russian writer A.P.Chekhov was born here and we can visit his house. It is a museum now. There is also an old house where F.Ranevskaya lived. There are many ancient houses in Taganrog. Our city is connected with such names as Alexander the first,A.S. Pushkin, Chaikovskiy, Garibaldy and some modern famous people. The Famous Persons

In my opinion, Chekhov is the greatest Russian dramatist and short story writer. I'm never tired of reading and rereading his plays and humorous stories.Heroes of Chekhov’s stories

My Favourite Place In TaganrogMy favourite place is Gorky Park. There you can escape from the noise of the city streets and enjoy the freshness of air under the canopy of park trees. Gorky Park, is very popular with children. There they can hire roller-skates or ride a horse, or take photos with a monkey. There are a lot of other differ­ent attractions: swing boats, merry-go rounds, dodgems, up-and-down roundabouts, a big wheel and others. Multicoloured balloons arid ice-creams are sold everywhere… Adults mean­while can rest in one of the cosy cafes. But I like my city not for its history, industry and famous people. I enjoy walking along the streets and I like watching the sea when the sun is shining brightly in summer. Also people living in Taganrog have a good sense of humor that I respect In conclusion I’d like to say that your motherland is very important part of life of every man. The our motherland begin with our street, so wonderful, with our school, close people. We must keep this things, memories very carefully and don’t forget about the most dear place in world.
