по английскому языку

O. Henry “The Last Leaf”

Задачи урока:

Совершенствование коммуникативных умений в четырех основных видах речевой деятельности.
Развитие умений вести беседу по прочитанному рассказу и выражать свое мнение по обсуждаемой теме, устно выступать с сообщением по результатам работы над проектом.
Развитие творческих умений и умения работать в сотрудничестве.
Воспитание доброты, милосердия в отношении к окружающим, интереса к культуре стран изучаемого языка.


Оснащение:

рассказ, портрет автора, компакт-диск “The Royal Family”, презентация 1 “O. Henry”, презентация 2 “Princess Diana”, журнал “The World of English” (2007, №3), карточки, буклет, аудиозапись, компьютер, проектор, магнитофон, материал для проектной работы.


























Ход урока

Организационный момент.
T: - Hello, girls and boys! Glad to see you! How are you? Feeling friendly?
You are welcome! We’ll have a wonderful time together! Smile more and
everything will be OK!

Речевая зарядка.

Беседа.
T: - We always enjoy travelling to the world of English literature. Am I right?
Ps: - Certainly, we like to read stories by English writers.
- We like English books. Etc.

2. Игра «Синквейн»
T: - What is a book? What role does it play in our life? Let’s think a little and
express our mind by “cinquiene”.

- They had two sons.
- Diana died in a car accident.
T: - What is she famous for?
Ps: - She did charity work.
T: - Yes, she did a lot of charity work, though she was only 36 years old when
she died. Today we have a chance to see some episodes of her life.

T: - Yes, she was a great person with a kind heart. Her words prove it once
more.
