Green sea turtles find food in the sea near South America. They eat only plants. They swim 1900 km to lay their eggs on a small Island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. The baby turtles swim back to South America, where they stay for many years. When they are older, they also swim to the island in the Atlantic to lay their eggs. Salmon Salmon are born in rivers but most salmon live part of their life in the sea. They go back to the river where they born to lay eggs. Some salmon swim as far as 3200 km. The journey take many months. Salmon eat insects and plankton. Whales Whales travel long way. In the summer, humpback whales and blue whales live in the seas near the South and North Poles where there is lots of food. In the autumn, they swim to the Equator to the warm sea. They stay there until the spring, when they go back to the polar areas. They eat krill, a very small animal like a shrimp.
