Great Destructions of Earthquakes. It’s difficult to believe that the power of Earthquakes is tremendous. Thus, in 1960 in Chile 6000 people died and thousands houses were broken. Thousands of people in Turkey lost their homes, food and clothes because of the Earthquake which swept hospitals, schools, cultural centers and about 500 000 houses of city. It is terrible to see ruins of beautiful city Kobe in Japan. After the earthquake with the power about 7 magnitudes 7000 people died, over 200 000 houses were broken. Science and Earthquakes. Fortunately, earthquakes can be predicted and people have a chance to protect themselves.Space plays an important role in prediction of the earthquakes and other disasters.
