The duck: ''Not I. I must go down to the pond for a swim.''
The cat: ''Not I. I have some visitors coming in a few minutes.''
The pig: ''Not I. I don't know how to do anything like that.''

The duck: “Not I. That sort of work does not agree with me.’’
The cat: “Not I. I don’t know how to do this.”
The pig: “Not I. I have other things on my mind besides that wheat.”
The Red Hen: “Very well, I will then” , said the little red hen, and she did.

The Red Hen: “Now, who will take this wheat to the mill to be ground into flour?”
The duck: “Not I. You know I can’t carry such a heavy load.”
The cat: “Oh, not I. The dust would get into my nose and make me sneeze” The pig: “Not I. I do not know where the mill is.”
The Red Hen: “Very well. Then I will take it myself.”
